The Best Salsa

Well Tony as promised here is a blog about your salsa. Many of you are aware of how good Tony's Salsa is, but for those of you who aren't let me take the time to tell you about it. I first starting buying Tony's Salsa earlier this year, and let me tell you, I have bought Tony's salsa and bough Tony's salsa, and then bought more of Tony's salsa. He makes it in mild, medium, hot, and extra hot. If you want the best salsa, you need to get it from Tony. If you'd like to order from him, comment on here and I'll let you know how to get a hold of him. I'm sure you will like it as much as the rest of his regular customers. Ciao

Strange Dreams

After Sunday school this morning, I took a nap. I went into a deep sleep and had a really strange dream. I dreamt that I was getting on the bus and I had no help. Marc Smith decided to help me. So we went to pick up kids. In the middle of the route, I had to stop at my house for something. While I was at home, I feel asleep. I woke up a short while later and got back on the bus, which had turned into a big Tahoe looking vehicle, the kids still on the bus. Well we got back on the road picking up kids. Somehow it got dark and I'm riding a bike. I got into the left turn lane, and a car veers right in front of me, causing me to skid into the back of the guys car. He gets out and yells at me for hitting his car. We were yelling at each other for a while. I got really mad and hit this guy in the stomach. We pulled over to his house which was by the accident, which was by the church, and can you guess what showed up in front of his house? That's right the Sunday school bus with all of the kids still in it. After a while of talking to this guy, someone from the church comes into his house and tells me that it 6:20 pm and he wanted to know how many kids were on the bus. Strange dream right. I woke up with a really bad headache. I guess I had a dream overload. Anybody else have a strange dream they'd like to share? Until next time Ciao.

Favorite song

I'll only be posting a short note today. This is just a little something that I have been thinking about today. Marc and I were having a conversation Friday about favorite songs. OK, as usual, I did most of the talking. He was driving ,listening, and offering his opinion. The radio was playing a song by Casting Crowns, which brought up one of my favorite songs, " Who Am I". Today I got to thinking about what my favorite song is. The song I feel that is my favorite song isn't a newer song like, " Who Am I," but rather an older song. The song that touches me the most, inspires me the most, is " Amazing Grace." This song is my favorite song. What might your favorite song be?

good joke

Carl Hurley tells a great joke. I bought a couple of his albums the other day, and I thought I'd share this one with you.

A duck walks into a feed store and ask:

Duck: Do you have any fish

Clerk: No this is a feed store. We don't sell fish. We sell cow feed, horse feed, stuff like that.

The duck leaves. The next day at the same time, the duck comes back

Duck: Got any fish?

Clerk: No I told you yesterday we don't sell fish. Just cow feed and stuff.

Next day, same time, the duck come back

Duck : Got any fish?

Clerk: Let me tell you something. You come back in here I'm gonna nail your little web feet to the floor.

Next day, same time.

Duck: Got any nails?

Clerk: No

Duck: Got any  fish?

Suddenly Inspired

As the title of this post says, I have been suddenly inspired to share with you an event that happened about a month and a half ago. Most of you know that my mom just had a back operation in the LA area. We came into the city on a Wed. Not wanting to miss church we visited L.A. Pentecostals in Bell Gardens, CA. We got there just as the preaching was about to start, L.A. traffic was a nightmare. Bro. Trevino preached an awesome message. After service he prayed for my mom and her operation, that was to take place the next day.I felt incredibly comfortable and safe at the church. The people were incredibly mindful of their visitors and  made us feel especially at home. The next Sunday night, after moms operation, I visited the Bell Gardens church again, this time allowing myself enough time to get there on time. The song service was amazing. The church sangs songs in English and in Spanish. It brought back a flood of memories of my Spanish apostolic roots from the time we attend the church in Lodi, CA, where my mom was saved, when I was just 2 and half years old. Once again when I got there, I was greeted very warmly, and there were even a few that remembered me from the last time I visited. I want to give the Bell Gardens a great big thank you for making us feel welcome in your church. I felt like I was at home. Thank you for lifting my mom up in your prayers. You all have an awesome church and an awesome Pastor. Pastor Trevino came by the hospital to pray for my mom after her operation as well, and for that I am extremely grateful. L.A. Pentecostals keep up the good work. And once again a heartfelt thank you for all you have done.

Finally

Well as Promised, although a bit later than I preferred, I have posted the birthday card pics. If you want to see them just click on the Picasa link. Yes Becky yours is posted there as well, ha ha, ha ha. For all of you who are wondering what that last statement was all about, I will tell you. Becky handmade my birthday card. She was so embarrassed about her art work she wouldn't let anyone else see it. I think she did a great job on it, and I appreciate the time she took to make it. Like Marc's comment on my last posting, she shouldn't try to hide her talent anyways. Please let me know what you think of all of the cards. Ciao

Let me start this off by saying sorry I haven't posted the promised birthday card pics said but I haven't really had the time yet. I also want to ask the following question: should I put captions on my pictures on my Picasa page? For those of you who have seen my picasa page, know that I have a lot of pics. It would take a long time to go through them all and try to add captions, but for you all who would to know a little about the pictures that I have taken, I will gladly add the captions. Please Comment and let me know what your opinion is, and I will happily conply. Ciao

Birthaday

Well yesterday some friends and I got together at Cool Hand Lukes for my birthday. Yes folks another year has past by. It has all gone by so quick. In the past year I have a lot to be thankful for. I was just thinking about that as I was turning another year older. About  a week ago I taught a lesson in chapel at TTCS about being thankful, and I promised myself that I would do more to show my appreciation. So starting here I'd like to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday and today, and for making my birthday a very special birthday. I dedicate this blog to everyone who was so kind to take the time to wish me a happy birthday, and a happy birthday it was. I received some very nice and some interesting cards for my birthday some of which I will post on my picasa page in the very near future, so keep checking that out. And for those who don't know I did in fact just turn 29. 364 days until I turn the big and daunting 3 0 .

La Jolla

I just finished uploading the rest  of the pics I took when I went to La Jolla. I was having problems with the storage on Picasa. I had to buy more storage so that I could finish upload the rest of my pics. La Jolla is a beautiful piece of California's coast. It is a really unique place. The scenery was a lot different than what I'm used to seeing when I go to Monterey. We went to this really good bakery down there that had some killer cheesecake. I'm sure that the next time I'm there I will be visiting that same bakery. Anyways I hated to have to leave the San Diego area, but  at the same time it's great to be home. Well until next time, ciao.
